Sewer Line Repair

After the Emergency of a sewage backup, a sewer line video inspection revealed a collapsed sewer line at the Vista Innovation & Design Academy. Firestone Builders were on call for an emergency sewer line replacement.

The task entailed locating any existing building utilities that might be underground in the work area using ground penetrating radar detection to prevent any further damage to surrounding utilities (electrical, water, gas). We excavated carefully at depths up to fourteen feet to connect to the existing sewer line. When a depth of over 5 feet is needed to excavate, shoring is required to safely secure the trench walls from falling while working inside. Once the trench is dug and the proper depth is met, we prep the trench and lay the new sewer line. All connections are tested under water pressure to check for leaks then the trench is backfilled and concrete poured back. This emergency project was all completed in 5 days to get the school's restrooms up and running as soon as possible.
