In order to move forward with a larger project for this client, Firestone Builders first needed to complete certain improvements at the request of the city. One of the requirements needed was to have a fire hydrant installed. The city required us to install a fire hydrant that would upgrade fire-life safety utilities for the cul de sac. All in all, Firestone Builders was responsible for the coordination between ASML, the Olivenhain Water District, and the City of San Diego to approve the design, materials, and installation of the new hydrant. During construction we set up traffic control, trenched into the right of way, installed the new pipe, valve, and hydrant, built a OWD required retaining wall and capped the asphalt. Firestone was able to navigate the rigorous inspection and testing process to complete this portion of the job.
