Deferred maintenance is so important in communities and often is overlooked. This project in La Costa at an 8-unit condo complex in which the balconies that overlooks the La Costa golf course and the ocean had not been able to be used for years. These balconies had been deemed a hazard and unsafe due to dry rot, termites, and water damage. Our team came into every condo, protected the owner’s belongings, demoed the living spaces and balconies, structurally rebuilt every balcony to current building codes and the structural engineers’ reports. Owners of these units were ecstatic to get their balcony back after years of inability to use that space.
